STEAM symposium flyer
This poster was made to promote the STEAM symposium while also explain the aspects of STEAM in my most recent project
Second main project
Background: I saw a children's plastic claw and wanted to make a claw. The next day I realized that simply a claw would not be an adequate project, so I decided to expand and make a claw machine
Main Goal: The main goal of this project is to make a functional claw machine by using wood and the c&c machine to craft a movable claw and storage for the grabbable items
This is the project proposal for the second project, a claw machine

Gannt Chart
The Gannt Chart plans out the timeline for this project, which shows me when I need to have each part of the project done by
Materials used
I will use scrap wood and screws from the engineering classroom, along with the CNC and CNC wood in the classroom.
Lessons learned log
This chart marks lessons I have learned while making the claw machine and what has not worked and how I fixed/overcame/dealt with the problem
Work on the claw machine
To cut out the claws for the prototype, I designed a shape that would function for rotation and grabbing in a fairly simple design utilizing the pulling of strings.
After cutting out the grabber arms, I simply gave them a container to sit in position and bars to rotate on, completing the prototype
After completing the claw prototype, I began work on the machine. I started by creating a base container
I then added supports to hold the top section of the claw machine
I then replaced the vertical supports to be more level, tall, and easier to connect to. Next I added a square to add the contraption that would allow for horizontal motion
I then created part of a slider that would be able to move the claw in one direction
Testing and evaluation
The prototype claw has been tested by simply creating it and pulling the strings, which successfully contract the claws.
What remains of the claw machine is the rest of the horizontal motion and the vertical motion, which will contain more movable parts of the machine, allowing the contraption to function like a real claw machine

Bad project news
After discovering a lack of materials I had found prior to creation of the claw machine and planned to use to create the machine, the dwindling of supplies due to cleanup, and the amount of remaining time, I have come to the realization that the claw machine will be impossible to finish, so I decided to switch to cleaning tasks.
Cleaning
The first cleaning task assigned is to clean out the void.
So far, I have cleaned out two shelves and filled two carboard boxes, along with boxes already inside the void
